The 2019 Oktoberfest of Olympia is presented by the Elks Lodge #186 on September 21, 2019. This traditional look at one of the world’s greatest ethnic events provides attendees with the opportunity to devour a Bavarian plate choice of Bratwursts, Schnitzel, Ham Hocks or Rouladen Dinner.
This year’s Oktoberfest will open doors at 4:30pm, and live music will begin the festivities, as guests devour on Ham Hocks (pig leg), Rouladen (German meat dish consisting of bacon, onions, mustard and pickles wrapped in thinly sliced beef), Schnitzel (pan-fried tender pork loin) or Bratwursts. All dishes and fixings are created by the German cook Angelika Irwing who brings over 30-years of professional restaurant experience to the table and Josh Edmonson, the owner of restaurant The Bird's Nest.
We are very excited to announce the performers of this year's musical entertainment to be our own local musicians Gary Hausam and Charlie Brown! Our balloon artist, Ken "the Balunatic" will make his appearance again bringing smiles to young and old! AUTHENTIC Black Forest Cake available to purchase in advance this year!!! Wear the traditional Dirndl and Lederhosen! And yes, we will have a very special guest performance with the Enzian Schuhplattlers!
Some of the proceeds will be donated to the repair costs of the lodge roof. The 2018 snowmaggedon took its toll on our venue.
This event will sell-out prior to Sept. 21, 2019. Attendees should buy their tickets in advance on line.
Donations are gladly accepted by companies who want to be publicly recognized during the festivities!
Sponsors will be able to display their logos or banners!
