Central Engineering of Pierce County & Charlie's Safari presents: Engineering For Kids Late August Camp.
Teaching ratio is 10:1 with a private area for kids to follow instruction, as well as engage with their imagination in a great summer educational setting
For the summer, we tentatively plan on offering an Engineering For Kids backpack or a pair of sunglasses. We frequently post photos taken from classes onto our Facebook
sites. Also, kids often get to take home a creation that they've built, depending on the type of program.
Campers also receive a prepared Charlie's Safari meal from 12p - 1p and have the ability to play during this period on the play structure and arcade.
Junior Civil Engineering: Fun Foundations (10a - 12p)
"Building a house to withstand the Big, Bad Wolf is where the fun begins in Junior Civil. This class is centered on exploring the concepts of building and construction through hands-on exploration and design. Students explore the engineering behind sky scrapers, bridges, roads, and more in this fun and engaging experience."
Junior Robotics: Wild Animals (1p - 3p)
"This class is a perfect mixture of fun and learning, using LEGO® WeDo Robotics. Using LEGO® bricks, students build a hungry alligator, a flying bird, and a roaring lion. They also learn how to program and operate their creations using a laptop computer."
